Even though I never got into selling on eBay, that infomercial got me into the idea of making money at home on the internet. I still remember some of the internet business details that were described by the infomercial. Things like having your online store open 24/7, advertising to millions of people all around the world, and not working as much as a normal job all stuck in my mind. Back then I didn’t know anything about the marketing tricks that the infomercial used to attract people like me. I read countless sales letters for books, videos, and DVD’s, all of which promised to show me how I can make a lot of money online without a lot of effort. In the end I never bought any of them, and for that I should be grateful. Also I signed up for a lot of free newsletters to learn as much information as I possibly could, without spending a dime.Eventually I became overwhelmed with all the information about finding an online business to start. The topics that were described were simply too absurd for me to grasp. Since I had no experience in business and marketing I couldn’t make use of this information. I ended up forgetting about the idea to make money on the internet entirely.A while later, someone close to me made a nice profit with his internet business. He showed me how much he was making and what he bought as a result. The dream of having an online business to start suddenly broke free from the abyss of my mind.
